“Imagine an America rife with racism, anti-immigrant sentiment, religious profiling, fire-and-brimstone preachers and misogyny. Sound familiar? We’re talking about the 1850s, of course. You knew that. Even if you didn’t, that’s the context for Susan Storer Clark’s debut novel, “The Monk Woman’s Daughter.”…”

“Just two years before his infamous “Last Stand,” Brevet Major General George Armstrong Custer set off on a secretive expedition deep into the Black Hills region of what is today South Dakota. Star Valley Independent, Mention. October 2012

“Savannah came to us recently to enter the Skyview Art Show. She is a new addition to the art scene in Star Valley. She works in watercolor, charcoal, and oil. Her portraits are sensitive and magnetic with a Van Gogh type feel. Her brush strokes and sense of color are very reminiscent of the late master, though she has a delightful personality, very unlike the tortured soul who was Vincent Van Gogh. SVAST (Star Valley Artist Studio Tours) has only seen some smaller pieces of Savannah’s, but we suspect that if her style transfers to her large pieces that they will be powerful indeed.”
